Micropol Fiberoptic AB is one of Sweden's oldest companies within the fiber optic industry. The company is one of the world's most experienced companies in fiber optic applications for demanding environments.

Applications for heavy industries such as mining, forest and offshore, as well as military cable systems, are some examples of areas where Micropol Fiberoptic is world-leading.

“We are very excited about this acquisition. We see Micropol Fiberoptic with its niche and extremely deep expertise in services and passive fiber optic products as a very interesting player in this growing global market, says Jan-Olof Svensson, CEO of Pamica.

Micropol is a family company founded in the late 80’s by Anders and Gerd Andersson. The company is located in Åled, about one mile north of Halmstad. Micropol is one of the segment’s most experienced companies whose products are characterized by its high quality and solid expertise. The company’s specialty is to develop solutions for passive fiber optic networks, but also fiber optic connectors for telecom, data communications and television broadcasting. Regardless of application, there is knowledge and ability to produce fiber optic products either according to the customer’s specifications or through a collaborated development work. The brothers; Mikael and Patrik remain the largest single owner in Micropol, second after Pamica.

“This is a very exciting step in our development,” says Mikael and Patrik Andersson. We are looking forward to a national as well as an international expansion together with the expertise that Pamica contributes. Our ambition is to grow while maintaining the entrepreneurial family spirit. ”

At the acquisition, a professional board has been chosen with a deep industry experience as well as business expertise, which will be led by Vartan Vartanian, former President Industrial Market AB SKF. “I am very pleased and proud to, along with the board, support and work with management to meet the ambitious growth and internationalization plan that has been settled,” says Vartan Vartanian, Chairman of the Board

Micropol Fiberoptic has 22 employees and has a turnover of around SEK 60m with good profitability. Read more at www.micropol.se
