Sappa is expanding its presence in Boxholm - with a larger local staff and digital care services. The residents of Boxholm, Vadstena, Ydre and Ödeshög will soon have access to a large selection of care providers in the municipal fiber networks.

In order to be able to implement this large investment, Sappa is strengthening the local office in Boxholm with additional staff. The office in Boxholm is thus becoming an increasingly important part of Sappa’s investment in broadband, television, telephony and also digital care services through the open platform Omsorgsportalen.se.

– It is important to maintain the local presence, and something we have always seen as an essential part of Sappa. Of course, it is extra fun when we can bring new positions to a place and also get several new colleagues, says Hasse Svensson, CEO of Sappa.

The care portal means that private individuals, but also municipal businesses and companies, can order a wide range of digital care services. They help everyone who needs extra security in the home, through, for example, security alarms to relatives or alarm centers, fire-safe stove guards and reminder services that prevent accidents.

– Digital care services also fill the need to be able to stay at home longer in safe conditions. Making these services available in all four of these municipalities through our open platform feels incredibly good, says Karl Stolpe, responsible for digital care at Sappa.

At the turn of the year, Sappa’s agreed scope for the Care Portal exceeded one million households in Sweden. This makes the portal the leading open platform in digital care. Now Sappa is putting in the next gear and the launch in the area will be part of the goal of reaching at least every other household in the country by the end of 2021.
